About LayDLayD Hilton is an old but new face on the scene that is pursuing her DJ’ing career full throttle and it all starts here. Sonya was born with a musical stamp, she played various instruments growing up as a child from Percussion, keyboard to the Cornet but when she heard a new sound called HOUSE in the late 80’s she was hooked. Sonya had her 1st mix back in 94 then didn’t pick up a record for a few years then started off again 4 years ago and has just moved from Vinyl to CDs in the bid to move with the times however she will still be a vinyl junky at heart. She has spent the last 16yrs dancing her way through the club scene and met many people on the way and also set up a business putting on club nights last year however an overwhelming feeling to DJ came about her so she set the wheels in motion. She knows she has so much more to offer in the way music production and is already making the move to become as successful as the many musical influences in her life, here are some to name but a few: Erick Morillo, Bob Sinclair, Freemasons, Prock & Fitch, D Ramirez, Mark Knight, Roger Sanchez and Duke plus many more... Miss Hilton has already done some amazing tune collaborations in the form of mash-ups on her laptop and she clearly has an ear for it so keep an eye out for her own productions in 2008. LayD Hilton is very versatile and will play almost anything within the house genre however she most enjoys playing Funky BASELINE Electro with an Old School Funky House Twist and some Minimal Electro. She’s a crowd pleaser… not a DJ pleaser and will be wowing the crowds on from behind the decks so as long as she sees people dancing waving their hands in the air with smiles on their faces then she’s a happy LayD. LayD Hilton has played at a number of organised house parties, some bars/clubs in the UK: East Club 06 (Worthing), Zap Club 06, Pasha Bar 07 and Legends 07 (Brighton) but Since posting her profile on the net Sonya has received a lot of interest from all over the world and has these gigs coming up so far: Love Bite NYE 07 (Egypt), Gorgeous (Dubai) and maybe Miami Winter Music Conference in 2008.
